When using Protege cards in your other Cia decks remember every Protege card is worth 6 Hacker Points.
Here are the cards and what they do…
In Protege you will each have two of these computers to solve.
In all the other versions you will have 3 Computers. You may use Protege Computers but only one because in the 5th grade versions your Computers must be Unique.
These Operations may be used in the other versions of the game but remember the “3 copies” rule.
When constructing your deck you may have no more then 3 of any single card in your deck; even though in Protege there are more then 3 of many cards.
You may use up to 3 of these Viruses in your 5th grade deck.
The Stop Virus is played only on an opponent’s computer. While it is attached it Freezes the Computer. While frozen that Computer cannot be used.
Everything on it remains the same; Agents, Programs, Hardware etc. all stay but do not effect the computer. Code counters do not change.
To un-freeze the computer the Virus must be removed. Once removed the computer resumes as before. Do not confuse Freezing and Shutting Down; they are not the same.
This Worm is a Program that can only be played on an opponant’s Computer.
During the computer owner’s turn (they decide when) they must remove 1 code counter from the infected Computer.
Note: Worms, Viruses and Trojans are the same with respects to Anti-virus protection.
Reboot is an Event, once played it goes into our Discard Pile and like all Protege cards is worth 6 Hacker Points.
In Protege, Reboot is intended to counteract the Virus however in the higher versions of the game it can remove any single Virus, Worm or Trojan from one of your Computers, since Viruses, Worms and Trojans are the same thing.
Debug is an Event, once played it goes into our Discard Pile and like all Protege cards is worth 6 Hacker Points.
In Protege, Debug is intended to counteract the Worm however in the higher versions of the game it can remove any single Virus, Worm or Trojan from one of your Computers, since Viruses, Worms and Trojans are the same thing.
This is the ANTIVIRUS PROTECTION card.
If you choose to play this card put it on the table touching one of your computers.
Any Viruses, Trojans or Worms on that computer are put in the discard pile.
From then on this computer is immune to Viruses, Trojans and Worms.
Note: In the higher versions of CiaCyberOps the gold border denotes Uniqueness. You may only have 1 copy of this card in your deck.
If you choose to play Agent Smith place him on the table touching one of your computers.
During your turn you may add 1 code counter to that computer.
